Surveys |
As your local Chamber of Commerce we want to ensure your views on a range of business areas are heard at the highest level. To achieve this we regularly carry out business opinion surveys.
This includes contributing to the Greater Merseyside Quarterly Economic Survey (QES). The information we collect contributes to the British Chambers of Commerce national survey. This is the UK’s largest private quarterly survey of business. The QES is the first economic indicator of the quarter, published in advance of official figures and other private surveys, and it consistently mirrors trends in the national economy. For this reason the survey is closely watched by policymakers such as the Treasury and the Bank of England, and also by the media.
Throughout the year we will also ask your opinion on a wide range of topics relevant at local, regional and national levels. In the year ahead we will be asking for your views on areas including crime, regulation and red tape and migrant workers.
The results of all our surveys are available on the previous surveys page.
Diversity In Employment Survey
Liverpool Chamber of Commerce have recently committed to a programme called Hope in the Cities that looks at issues of diversity within business. A high level meeting with some of the city's key retail employers and Black and Racial Minority (BRM) networks identified the need to look at the issues employers may be having with Diversity within their companies. We are all aware that legislation is in place that makes it illegal to discriminate on grounds of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, belief, sexual orientation or age. This is largely defensive and makes sure employers don't do the wrong thing. The more positive approach is to look at how diversity can enhance your company's performance. For this reason we are seeking to enlist your support to build a picture of the level of diversity amongst our members. We would therefore appreciate a few moments of your time to complete this survey.
